Collector and District Magistrate of North Bastar Kanker, Mr. Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the police-Naxalite encounter incident that took place in the jungle hill of village Amatola under Chhotebethiya police station of the district.

- *Date of incident:* On 20 June 2025, there was an encounter between the police and the Maoists in the jungle hill of village Amatola.
- *Death:* An unidentified female Maoist died in this encounter.

- *Investigation officer:* Deputy Collector, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Revenue Pakhanjur Mr. T.R. Devangan has been appointed as the investigating officer.
- *Investigation report:* The investigating officer has been ordered to prepare a report in the prescribed 12 points after the magisterial inquiry and submit it within 15 days.
